Circle 10: Playing a Board Game to Reflect The History of Curonian Spit
All of the activities of Circle 10 during Summer Session 2022 were dedicated to heritage studies. A board game’s form was chosen as a tool to reflect changes with Curonian Spit, where the advancing sands captured entire villages and their inhabitants were trying to resist. DANCES WITH WOLVES The Nordic Summer University was born in the 50s as one of the pioneering institutions on interdisciplinary scholarship, joining artistic expression, academic research and a cross-disciplinary profile. Circle 10: Workshop “Preserved Bloom In Blue”
The word cyanotype was derived from the Greek word “cyan”, meaning “dark-blue impression”. Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography. The distinctive feature of the print is its shade of cyan blue, which results from its exposure to ultraviolet light.
