An overview of Summer Session 2022 from granted participants

An overview of Summer Session 2022 from granted participants

“My experience of the NSU is the serendipitous benefit of the informal conversations with those sharing the time between sessions to share feelings that share the same interest in what turned up unexpectedly during those conversations. Unexpectedly. Taking some time to articulate some comments that often turn out to be helpful spiraling around those ‘what turned up’ phenomena. It is a unique and warm atmosphere with a multitude of friendly people, who are sharing project ideas, research results, chats, memories, and good laughs throughout the sessions. My impression is that here is where people can develop new, creative ideas and projects in…

Circle 10: Workshop “Preserved Bloom In Blue”

The word cyanotype was derived from the Greek word “cyan”, meaning “dark-blue impression”. Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography. The distinctive feature of the print is its shade of cyan blue, which results from its exposure to ultraviolet light.  The workshop was meant to create a tangible trace of the nature around the Summer School 2022 spot — Oslo, Rønningen folkehøgskole — using a creative technique.  Key questions of the workshop: What…
